Wearing a watch during the MP session

This review from Bellypincher reminded me of something I wanted to ask fellow massageplanet.netites: Does anyone out there actually wear a watch during their session? From various reviews it seems it's not uncommon for MPAs to go for the kill before the time is up, and the way that many rooms are set up (no clock, clock hard to read, wrong time, placed in a spot that's hard to see laying on the table, etc. etc. etc.) makes it really hard to keep track of your time. I've had some more forthright MPAs tell me straight up that it's common practice for them to end their sessions prematurely.

I think there are a lot of conscientious MPAs out there who really make sure you get every moment of your time, but since that isn't always the case, I've been considering wearing a wrist watch, which I don't normally do, and so I'm just wondering how common that is? I'd have to take it off for the shower, so I suppose it would be obvious this was the only thing you've chosen to put back on - would that be considered rude, or would it simply be a good indicator that you're watching the time and you'd like to get the entire session you paid for?

I would never wear my watch in a session.
However, if you are that worried about getting shortchanged on the time, you could always put your watch on a shelf, table, or chair in the room in full sight so the MPA knows you're keeping an eye on it.
Better yet, if you have a chrono with an alarm, set it to go off when you have ten or fifteen minutes left in your session. When she asks what the alarm is for, you can say that you now have ten or fifteen minutes left.
Or make sure she sees you start your timer when she comes in the room.
These are mostly silly suggestions, but I've rarely been shortchanged, and never by more than a couple of minutes, so it's not something I worry about.

Gentlemen,
The question that should be asked is: "When does the MPA start the clock on the session?"
Is is when she first walks in and says hi, or is it when she first lays hands on you, or some other measure.
In my experiences, it seems, at the better spas anyway, that the clock starts when she walks into the room. Time is money, and for most I can't see the girls using their own time, expecially in a busy spa.

I once forgot my watch @ an Eg MP. I went back 3 days later for a massage and to see if they had my watch. The girl didn't speak much english but I was able to get through to her. She leaves the room and comes back with 4 watches. I saw my watch...(the cheap one) and decided to go with the Guess brand watch. SO I got a massage and a $100 watch out of it.

I normally drop it in my pocket when I hang my pants up.
If it's a place where the shower is in the room, the risk is virtually non-existant.
If the shower is down the hall, I bring my watch and wallet with me, especially if I don't know the place. If I've been there a few times, then I tend to let my guard down.

I usually don't wear a watch. But after I got admonished on going overtime, the MP making me feel bad because she got charged for going over, I strapped on that watch, set my diving bezel. Needless to say, we didn't go overtime.

So the advice is: don't worry about the time... just relax and let it be. If you pay for a 40 minute session and you get a 30 minute or a 20 minute session you just go with the flow... I get it now - groovy baby.
