A Fairview Township man was charged with threatening the life of a motel employee who he said offered to give him a massage, but then allegedly tried to molest him, police said.
In public YouTube videos, Douglas Mahady narrates to the camera, making threats on the man's life, police documents show.
"Your life is limited," Mahady said in one video, posted on Aug. 28, a video which remains public.
"You don't ambush a man like me. I'm one of the most vile, most violent people you'd ever meet," Mahady says into the camera. "If I see you outside of this motel, I'm going to kill you."

The employee is not identified in court documents, and, police say, there are no additional charges filed in the case because Mahady declined to give further information about the alleged sexual assault and refused further police assistance.
Instead, it is Mahady himself who faces charges after turning to YouTube to threaten the employee's life.
The most serious charge is a third-degree felony of ethnic intimidation. According to police and the YouTube videos, Mahady denigrates Indian Americans, using obscenities to describe and threaten the man who he accuses of trying to molest him during the massage.

Mahady, 43, has a channel on YouTube under his name and has posted videos in which he talks into the camera dating back to last year.
In one, posted on Nov. 1, 2016, Mahady had a message for the people he accused of stealing his three Donald Trump yard signs.
"I just want you to know you're on camera. I've seen your face," Mahady said. "I'm coming for you and I'm coming for your family and I'm going to take your life just like you took my signs."

In other YouTube videos, Mahady talks about getting his Facebook account suspended, saying the "snitches" who are reporting his page are limiting his free speech. It's unclear exactly when and why his Facebook account was suspended.
He talks against "anti-smoking activists," railing against those who have raised taxes on cigarettes. He makes a threat against people who have raised taxes and then says aloud: "Oh wait, would that be considered a threat? Nah, it's a promise."
In an interview with Fairview Township Police, Mahady said that he accepted a massage after a motel housekeeping employee offered to give him one, documents state.

Mahady stated that the man touched him inappropriately before he made the employee leave, police said.
The massage took place at the Scottish Inn, a motel on Commerce Drive, according to police documents. Mahady is listed as having a current address at a hotel nearby.
Fairview Township Police Chief Jason Loper said Mahady declined to give further information on the alleged sexual assault and refused further police assistance.
It's for that reason that police did nothing further with the alleged assault, Loper said. The chief described the case as unusual because Mahady had made allegations of assault but then didn't cooperate with police.
It appears that none of Mahady's threats were made in person, according to Loper.
"A threat that is on social media is just as valid as a threat that is made in person," he said.
In a later video posted to his channel on Sept. 7, Mahady said that he wasn't going to do anything to the employee, saying the person would "fall on your own folly."
Mahady acknowledged making the YouTube videos to police, documents state, and said he didn't mean anything. Police wrote in documents that Mahady said the videos were his way of dealing with things.

Police became aware of Mahady's YouTube channel on Aug. 18 during an unrelated incident with him. Loper had no further details on what that incident involved.
Fairview Township police notified the owner of the motel where the alleged molestation occurred, and the owner said he'd speak to the employee believed to be involved, Loper said.
Mahady was taken to York County Prison after being arraigned by District Judge Robert Eckenrode Tuesday morning. He had bail set at $15,000, online court records show.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 26.
