Well, no one seems to give any creed to the so called "conspiracy" theory set forth by myself and a few others. These MP's and other joints that have on site service are easy pickins. I think they started with the Amon places mostly because it has the quickest and biggest impact. Just remember, it's dangerous to sleep walk through life. : Of course, I could be entirely wrong and I'm sure later the media will come through with some contrived BS. But, I have the right to live in my own little world, so I will do so.

My first reaction is that this is turning into less of a Bario Amon or Gringo thing, and more of a BROTHEL perception thing.

They don't seem to mind truly independents, and it's the perception of kept prostitutes and pimping that are driving the attention.

Whether they're accurate in that assessment is another issue. But that is my take on this news.

I agree with this statement whole heartedly. I'm just concerned for the future of prostitution in general in CR.

The recent closings started a little over a month ago with a couple of tico places in La Uraca. Then about two weeks ago, they closed a place in Tibás. I don’t think any of them have re-opened. I know the one in Tibás hasn’t.

Although they seem to be hitting different parts of San José and places with different client bases, I'd assume that the high profiles of NF and ZB have been particularly offensive to local sensibilities.

Plus they make better TV.

Me too. Maybe time to call it quits to the CR trips.Was good while it lasted anyway.Will have to see how things shake out over the next few months.

Heck, it's legal in CR.

Elsewhere when governments have cracked down it just changes the where and how it's delivered. It doesn't go away. If they keep the pressure on, the girls will be waiting for gringos at the bars or on the street corners. Just ask a taxi driver "where" in any town including the USA. We just have to "let the dust settle" and it will.
