3 weeks of abstinence!

For many years, I have tried to kick this habit.

Instead, my frequency of participation has steadily increased.

Perhaps the biggest "spike" in increased activity was about 4 years ago or so when I posted that I was retiring (ok, you caught me...it was under a different name).

And what happened? I received a PM from my 2 all time favourite MPA's who playfully expressed their disappointment and so on (not sure how they knew who I was since I had never told them my massageplanet.net handle)...it then led to great fun and debauchery with them.

What's different this time? Dunno. Do I think that I will succeed. Not really. But just seeing how it's going, one day at a time.

Just made it thru January, without any visits to MPs, SPs or SCs.

By far, this is the longest period of restraint that I have "enjoyed"(?) for, perhaps, about 10 years.

We will see how much longer it lasts, but I'm trying...

I can relate to Juan. I've been at this hobby (aka addiction) for over 20 years and I spent enough to supply aid for a year to a third world country! The pace has only increased over time. My motto has always been "variety is the spice of life" and I'm a true believer that the male species cannot remain monogomous. Hence, in my time I've been able to juggle SP's, mistresses and a SO for the last 20 years. Each time I've seen an SP I end up proclaiming that it will be my last time, and each time I look for one further up the scale for my final retirement send off. Its damn near impossible to quit this hobby!

Maybe its time for some therapy.

The primary focus is people addicted to pronography but I think the operative word is "addicted."

It's direct and to the point, just like me !

Here's a sample, should you feel you need help:

I TOO can relate. I tend to think most guys on this board can relate to the addictive nature of this "hobby". I have given up SC, MP, SP's since the week before Christmas. But this time I was given a good incentive to quit....I lost my job and therefore am forced to quit due to financial constraints or until I find another job!!!

The male species cannot remain monogomous? I have pondered that question too. Sometimes I think it is a rationalization of these hobby activities. Perhaps this rationalization negates the guilt. I remember seeing a quote on SEXTV stating monogomy is a deviant sexual behviour in the animal kingdom. Food for thought!

Good Luck Juan on your abstinence. One day at a time. Be careful of the impending binge. In all the times I have tried abstinence about 2 to 3 weeks into it, I usually go overboard on a binge and make up for "lost time" so to speak. But being aware of this should help. Try not putting yourself in vulnerable situations.
