70E Is Closed

70 E is closed. It is now and has been called the Flamingo. They moved next door and upstairs to the old Chica Dorado also known it the past as Club 40. Lets call it Flamingo from now on to make things less confusing.

Have not been in since they moved. Are they going to still have the bar that Chica Dorado had?

The rooms at chica dorada were quite decent the one time I was there, compared to comparably priced places. I live pretty close so I'll see what's up in the next few days if somebody doesn't beat me to it.

Alright, I talked to the manager there and here's what I was told. The bar next door, the old Chica Dorada, will be open in a few weeks. For now they have a nice waiting lounge at the top of the stairs, with couches even! I remember the rooms as pretty nice from the Chica Dorada days. At any rate, I will keep my eyes peeled and when the bar part gets opened, I'll spread the word.

BTW, until the bar opens, don't bring Stephen Hawking with you, if you get my meaning. And not because he's too smart.

Looks like it is going to be a very nice bar area when it is finished. They were in there on Sunday working on it so I guess they're in a hurry.

The end of an era- I will miss the old location, in spite of, or in part becuase of, the high slease factor. My all time highlight was a four girl BBBJ session where the girls pretended that they were the momma kitty and cleaned every inch of my body with gusto...awww...price? This was back when sessions were 9 bucks, so four girls was 36 dollars...Pura vida
