Hi, I need to prepare an After care advice for IHM clients. I think I have covered everything below, but is there anything you would add/take away from it...thanks
Indian Head Massage After Care AdviceRest and relax, this is so the body can heal sufficiently
Drink plenty of water or herbal tea, to help speed up the toxin removal
Avoid Drinking tea, coffee, Fizzy Drinks and Energy Drinks
Refrain from smoking and alcohol for at least 24 hours as Indian Head Massage is detoxifying and these will reintroduce toxins into the body.
Avoid eating heavy meals because blood is diverted to the gut to help with digestion. Digestion will divert energy away from the healing process. Eat light meals such as fruit and vegetables.
Hair should be brushed regularly to help distribute the natural oil (sebum) and stimulate the blood circulation to the scalp.
Do not overuse hairdryers, heated rollers or curling tongs as they are very drying to the hair and will cause split ends (not sure whether to have this one included)
Avoid chemical processes such as bleaching or perming which can damage the hair and cause excessive drying. (would you leave this one out?)
Regularly condition the hair and use conditioning treatments. Those containing keratin are especially recommended.
Ensure that a well balanced diet is eaten with lots of water, fruit vegetables to provide nutrients that will ensure healthy, shiny, strong hair.
If oil has been applied to the hair, if possible leave on overnight or for a few hours to allow chance for the hair and scalp to benefit from the oil. When washing the hair after, ensure that the shampoo is applied onto dry hair as the shampoo will slip off wet hair that has oil on.
After treatment you may have some of these reactions:
ยท Extreme tiredness
ยท Frequent urination
ยท May feel calm and tranquil
ยท May experience slight headache
ยท Skin may be red in places
These are all normal and are nothing to worry about
Sometimes you may experience some negative reactions. This is because of the increased circulation of waste products being carried away from your body. These reactions are only temporary, until the bodyโs natural balance has been restored. These reactions include:
ยท Sickness/nausea caused by the increased circulation of waste products/toxins
ยท Light headedness or headaches
ยท Fainting due to blood pressure lowering
ยท Heightened emotional state
ยท Disrupted sleep patterns
ยท Increased secretions from the nose/mouth
ยท Aching muscles due to the release of toxins
If you should suffer any severe reactions contact the doctor

I feel I need enough information on the aftercare leaflet but I don't want to bog the client down with too much information.
Thanks
