Alcazar - worth a cautious visit

After living in an apartment less than 100 yards away, I finally bit the bullet and went in to check the place out, having my scam radar turned on to maximum.

Well, first off they waived the cover/minimum for me and my amigo. It was 3500 colones and gave you 2 beers or 2 well drinks (I think that was it). We went in and sat down and were both impressed by both the interior and the level of talent. We bought a beer and a water and it cost 3000 colones, not cheap but not outrageous. The talent level was quite good, as I mentioned before. I was a couple of dancers I had known from other 'venues' and asked one what the deal was for 'extras.' Drinks for the girls ran from like 4.5k to 5k Colones, not a bargain but still not outrageous. They offer private dances for 6.5k, though I'm not sure how long they last. They have a champagne room for 32k an hour that includes a bottle of champagne. No sexo, though the girl told me that for a propina it might be arranged. They also have a room with a shower etc for 40k that includes sex. The price of the propinas mentioned were like 10k so I think that if you want to do the deed, just get the rooms.

Anyway, I think the place is at least as nice as Kamur, and if you watch your step you could have a very nice girl at a tolerable price. Just be sure not to run a tab (pay as you go) and don't get sucked into a lot of 'girl drinks.' There are some real beauties there, to my eyes and those of my wingman.

Have always been curious about this place, and glad someone finally had the cojones to give it a shot. In theory at least, there's no reason why it shouldn't be as good as any other place around there, and looks like that indeed is the case. Put it on the list for Memorial Day...

I have been there a couple of times and on both trips had a good time. Myself and bulldog and a few others went there and thought the prices were in line.On both occassions the dancer came to the hotel the next day.
