It's a classy little place really. Is there any other establishment of this style? I suppose ZB is similar in that they have a bar(I've only walked into ZB to take a look, didn't stay). But Idem almost seems like a neighborhood bar you could stop in for a drink.. and oh, by the way, the girls sitting along the wall looking sexy won't mind if you make sweet love to them.

I have always liked Idem pesonally and prefer it over Zona Blue as I have had some really good times there.Need to revisit this trip as it has been a while and check out some of the hot new talent.Reports sound really good.rbc100

The only thing I didn't like about Idem was the condition of the bed I was using last time I was there. It had "alot of mileage on it" and was loose and noisey and seemed poised to fly apart at any moment. With the noise from the bed combined with the noise the chica was making, I was fully expecting Roberto to break through the door at any second and throw me out of the place.

For the money these places must generate, you would think they could spring for some new beds once in awhile.

Up until ZB changed their hours and added a gar, Idem was my #1 choice. Now it is #2, I still like it a lot. I agree that the beds are kind of nasty though.

Actually, Zona Blue is more expensive, unless one has CRT V.I.P. membership; the base price at ZB is 22K/hour; at Iden, it's 19K for the upstairs rooms.

I like Iden, but the drinks are very expensive. I think ZB and Iden are having a little contest to see who can get away with charging the highest drink prices in SJ.


Other "Iten-like" options:

Bar Dandy: This is the AA Farm league for Iden. Girls start here, and if they make the cut, they move to calle 11.

Many places are somewhat like Iden, in that they have a bar and rooms for sex. Bar Monaco, Bar Camelot and Bar Bachata come to mind.

I think one can divide the service locales by type: Bar with rooms on site, nightclub (read that "titty bar") with rooms on site, massage parlors without alcohol and massage parlors with alcohol. Then of course there is the category of bars with no rooms on-site, but whcih are frequented by chicas who will leave the bar to accompany you to your bed (Blue Marlin, Monkey Bar, New York Bar etc.) I'm not sure where Iden and ZB fit...they're sort of bars, sort of massage places...hmmm.

Roberto is a great guy who will steer you in a good direction. He knows the staff very well and can play matchmaker.

One option that nobody seems to talk about when discussing Iden, espefcially if you hate the lousy beds (as I do): Take-out is easy after midnight, when the bar closes. Chat up a lady, buy her a drink, negotiate price and service, and then simply share a cab with her to your hotel after she gets off work. No salida (exit fee) for the lady, if you can wait until after midnight.

Should you desire to leave with a girl before midnight, you will need to negotiate the salida with Roberto. Has anyone done this recently? If a salida was paid...how much?

I'm kicking myself for not taking advantage of more take-out opportunities. Pantera Rosa and other strip clubs offer take-out. Bar Iden offers take-out. Many MPs allow the girls to leave the premises long enough to do a date. Not Zona Blue, of course.... :? Even Club Koma offers a salida price, so you can pay the bar and leave with a chica.

I'm seldom comfortable in massage rooms. I hate the competing noise, the distractions and often the beds. Hey, I'm a 240 pound, six-foot tall guy...the massage tables at Oasis might kill me. Therefore, I prefer to do the date in my own comfortable hotel room. I'm mad at myself for forgetting, in the heat of the moment, that many clubs and bars offer take-out opportunities. Something I'll remember for next time.

Yes, Roberto is a good and accommodating matchmaker. I was there in July with a first timer friend of mine. I explained the situation to Roberto and he made a recommendation for a suitable chica with a good attitude. Before going to the room, I saw Roberto give the chica a little "pep talk".
My friend had a great time and a memorable experience.
