San Mateo County sheriff’s officials arrested a Hayward man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman during a massage therapy session in Millbrae, officials said Friday.
Hayward resident Guosheng Chen, 47, was arrested after investigators identified him as the man suspected of engaging in unwanted, inappropriate and sexual touching toward an adult female client at a business on the 900 block of Broadway in Millbrae, officials said.
The assault allegedly occurred on Dec. 22 during a massage therapy session. The victim reported the crime to Millbrae police hours after the incident allegedly took place
Chen was arrested on Jan. 2 with assistance from the Hayward Police Department, officials said. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges of oral copulation, sexual penetration and sexual battery involving an unconscious person.
Police officials did not immediately give details on whether or why the victim was unconscious during the massage.
Sheriff’s officials said Chen has worked as a massage therapist throughout the state, including in Alameda County, Contra Costa County, San Diego County and San Mateo County.
