Could you tell me please which acu-points are for the benign prostatic hyperplasia? I've got the master acupuncture point chart.

Hi Camilo,

Acupuncture doesn't work quite like that I'm afraid. We need to take a whole case history to find out which points are best to use. The symptoms are more important than the diagnosis as traditional acupuncture works from a completely different frame-work.

The traditional acupuncturist will ask many background questions and then is likely to take your pulse and look at your tongue, if working with Chinese acupuncture. Only then will they be able to reach a diagnosis, which is usually complex, and be able to select the best points taking all this into consideration.

Thank you for your reply. So, you say that there are no acu-points specific to prostate and there is no way to help simply by activating these points? I've read that every organ has its points on the specific meridian.

The Su-jok acupuncture works well for tumours.
The points are amazingly easy to found, for example around the
fingers joints, and it operates not 5 but 6 or 8 energies.
Overall it's much more simple, the recipe in general:

Darkness ---> Wind ---> then, depending on the symptomes:
1) Cold (or Dampness) down, Fire up, Light, Darkness ctrl - acting on tumours roots.
2) If the stage of rapid grow, the above will also work but better to start with a different scheme to tame the growth first.

Hi Camilo,

There are specific points for each organ - but the TCM definition of organs does not work in the same way as Western medicine - although there are auricular points which relate more to specifics as you know them.
However - as Jenny has said - an acupuncturist will take into consideration underlying conditions as well as presenting problems, in order to reach a TCM diagnosis and then a point prescription.

Is there a reason you asked about specific points? Are you an acupuncturist yourself, or looking for acupressure points?
