Both feet on the floor

Mississauga has a "one set of feet on the floor policy". Hency no bodyslides at Allure.

I discovered today that that policy was not 100% original. Starting in the 1930s, Hollywood films were made where couples slept in different beds and while they could embrace and kiss, one person had to have both feet on the floor.

Perhaps Hazel is fan of classic movies.

Actually, I don't think this is entirely accurate. More often than not, what you'd see is that a couple sleeping in the same bed would each keep one foot on the floor. The other trick was hanging a sheet along the middle of the bed to keep the couple separated.

This practice has been used for comedic effect in a lot of movies/TV shows in recent years.
