Can acupuncture help with fibroids?

I popped into a chinese herbalist the other day because I saw a poster in the window advertising help for fibroids. I'm a bit unsure of acupuncture, has anyone known of this method for shrinking the fibroids?
Any advice would be great.

yes! in 2005, i had so many problems with my fibroids that the doctors wanted me to get a hysterectomy immediately. I didn't want that and decided to use acupuncture and chinese herbal medicines, as a last resort. the size of the fibroids decreased by 20% and i no longer needed surgery because the pain was gone. I couldn't keep up the treatments because at $50/visit, 30 visits got to be really expensive...but now that i have new insurance that acutally covers acupuncture, i'm back at it again. I like it when the acupuncturist uses low voltage electricity because it just makes everything feel better.

I've also had two UFE, and the first one helped a lot, the second, not so much. you might also look into that if the fibroids are really bothering you.
