I will be arriving in January and am seeking limousine transfer from the airport to my hotel - for a night on the town - and from the hotel back to the airport. I have been quoted a very nice price from http://www.costaricaviplimos.com and found them listed on http://www.thecostaricanews.com, but I am a natural skeptic.

The quote was very good, and website looks legit, but they do not accept credit, only bank transfer for down payment. Does anyone here have any information that can help me decide to use this company or move on?

Why do you need a limousine to go to your hotel when you could ride an almost brand new taxi all by yourself?

I don't know anything about it, but if you're considering a $100 ride to your hotel, it means you have money to burn, so go for it!

By the way, posting those kind of questions in your first post could be perceived more like "promoting" than inquiring. A "hello good looking guys, it's a pleasure to be part of this community" should be your first message, then you can promote your limousine business...after you pay your dues to Tomas! :twisted:

It's more than 100.00 for each transfer. In fact I'm looking to spend 750.00+ for limo service while I am in CR. I've travelled many ways: taxi, tuk tuk, cattle car (Army), etc. I've busted my butt my whole life so that I can have some extra money to burn. Please don't criticize me for this, nor assume that I am here looking for ad space. I thought this forum was all inclusive. You're making it unfair for me because now some people may think I am spamming, when I am just looking for some advice.

So the question still stands: Does anyone know of this limousine service?

Rip off

I have used them before for some of my clients.... rip off sums it up. They over billed me by two hours for a one and a half hour trip the last time. I paid up front for the service and the drive hassled my clients for the extra $280 plus tip at the end of their trip.

I will never use them again.

No, sorry, can't help you with that. But welcome to CRT!

All I'll say is you can probably hire one of the well-known (to CRTers) drivers for a weekend for a lot less than 1/2 of that amount. And you'll have a spacious, clean van seating 8-9 passengers with a friendly, well known driver who speaks passable English, and who will be at your beck and call.

No criticism intended or implied. If the cost / benefit analysis makes the (much higher) cost of a limo worth your while, then by all means go for it.
