A married couple running a massage parlor in Foley pleaded guilty on Tuesday (June 13) to multiple counts of prostitution.
Michelle Cobb, 41, and Tim Cobb, 45, appeared in Foley Municipal Court and received nearly $1,500 in fines and had a 90 day jail sentence suspended, according to Foley Police Department Spokeswoman Kelly O'Donnell.
The couple was arrested on January 17 at their business, the Massage and Body Works located at 625 Laurel Ave.
O'Donnell said an undercover operation by the Foley PD and the Federal Bureau of Investigations was able to confirm that the couple were engaged in prostitution while operating a business without a license in Foley.
Michelle was charged with two counts of prostitution and Tim was charged with one count of prostitution. The charge is considered to be a Class A misdemeanor.
During the hearing, Michelle received a $938 fine and Tim received a $554 fine in the incident. The couple's 90 day jail sentence at the Foley Correction Center was suspended and the pair received a 1-year probation sentence.
