Has any threads or information contained in threads ever

been used in court when a MP has been busted by LE?

Ginger Wellness or any other MP may have threads used against

them to help to prosecute them?

The rules of evidence are pretty specific when it comes to criminal prosecutions.

Issues like heresay, the reliability of the information and the production of available witnesses would likely preclude any such use.

If I were the defense I'd simply ask the prosecution to either produce the witness/author of the information to verify and cross examine. Of course, it would have taken a lot of legal procedings to subpeona IP addresses and establish just who was using the computer etc.

However, the cops likely do troll these boards for general intelligence gathering. I doubt that they could even use this information as probable cause for obtaining a seaerch warrant etc.

From here they would have to conduct their own investigation and gather their own first-hand evidence to make their case.

And another thing, in Canada it is my understanding that the cops have to complete their investigation before they lay charges and promptly disclose their evidence. Using such internet chat boards as evidence would be ground breaking and we certainly would have heard about it already.

Judging by the amount of mis-information, bravado, bragging and cryptic messages, (combined with anonymous writers), it would be far too easy to put 'reasonable doubt' into any thread or individual message. There is no guarantee to the accuracy provided, as many who may have tried a 'recommended' service (and been disappointed), can attest.

LE may not use information from boards/discussion groups as evidence in court, but these boards/groups surely make their job a hundred times easier. There are hundreds if not thousands of SCs and MPs around. Imagine how many undercover cops they have to use without some 'guidance'.

The funny thing is that ANY, and I mean ANY massage parlour can be busted with such a minor investigation that it is unbelievable.

They don't need any internet heresay, fancy investigations etc. Just a handjob for $40 and it's a bawdy house.

I suspect that is exactly what happened at Ginger Spa.

Having gone there many times and being very well trusted I feel very confident that no BJ's or FS went on there.

More than likely, someobody's wife in the plaza figured out what the place was about and made a single complaint to the police or her city councillor.

That's all it takes and the cops will investigate and lay a charge.

If HJ's were all that was going on there I wonder if "Ginger" might not take this opportunity to mount a constitutional-type defense citing community tolerance. It could be argued that a HJ is not a sex act per se and that such activities fall within the commmunity standards of tolerance. There is case law about a lingerie modelling place in MOntreal regarding masturbation/indecent act.

Not that the defense would prevail or survive appeal but if someone had the balls, and $$$ to at elast rry the defense, the media might grab on for the ride.
