do you have any facebook friends that you've made it so they cant chat you?

just curious if anyone else does this and the reasons are. i have a list of people that i've made myself always offline for. it includes my brother, who chats me from the other room just to be annoying, some kid that liked me who would IM me anytime he saw me on, and my ex-boyfriend. i love that you can do this, but now i;m always wondering if anyone has done this to me!
@classic: actually its bc its really easy to tell if someone unfriended you, like if they tried to look at ur profile. i wasn't trying to be mean to these people, it just made me a little uncomfortable when they tried chatting me all the time and i didn't know what to do bc i didn't want to talk to them. sure, it still might be a little obnoxious and mean if they found out, but outright unfriending them seemed even worse.

I have 2 lists of people, one has all the friends that I actually talk with and know well, and the other one is all my other friends. I normally keep them both online, but sometimes I go "offline" with the people I don't really know if I'm on the computer for awhile.

So....if you don't want them to chat with you or know your online....why the hell do you keep them added?

Social networking is so stupid sometimes. But I guess you have to keep that all important friend count number up, AMIRITE?

Edit: Well not everyone can have an uncaring personality like me, I just delete people.

Yeah I'm usually offline all the time because guys are always "trying to get to know me" but they NEVER talk to me at school. :|
