I drove by Elite the other day and it said "New Management"

Anyone have any idea what is going on there? I am sure with the economy the way it is that they are struggling. Did they change their prices, make it more affordable or what?

Elite like Club Hollywood has been a rip off place for many many years. Based on the "nuevo administracion" that we saw at Tango India recently I would not think the leopard has changed it's spot in this case.

Somebody I know was there within the last 2 weeks and if they have changed prices, it is for the worse, not better. He said the place was filled with 'pigs' and they wanted $300 for full service. His bill for 3 beers was approx. $25. If that's your idea of a good deal, go for it. I suspect it isn't.

Maybe we need a 'Places to Avoid' sticky post in this forum. Guys still seem to hold out the hope that a miracle will occur and the rip off joints will become cheap and full of hot chicks. Yeah right.

Avoid ELITE!

My first trip to San Jose our cab driver talked us into going to Elite.

We figured we check it out. What the hell. We walked in looked around, and asked about the prices. Once we herd the prices and saw the poor selection of women we walked out.

Guess who was getting a cash kickback for dropping us off?

We jumped back in that same cab and said now take us to the Hotel Del Rey this time.

He reluctantly handed back his kickback and took us to the Del Rey. No we didn't pay him twice. He was aplogetic.

Avoid ELITE!

I've had other Cabbies tell me to avoid Elite. That the people there were Malo(BAD).

Guess they didn't get their promised kickback or they know what ripoff it is.

Man this place utterly sucks. It was bad before, but increasing the prices even more is truly phucked up.

Places to avoid at all cost:

6. Atlantis

It looks like the word is getting out pretty good about this place. Last night around 10pm I went by Elite and there were 3 cars parked out front. I bet they were all emplyees.

If they follow the CR rip off club business plan they will increase prices substantially, pad bills exorbitantly, hire more goons to make sure you pay up and wonder why business is still bad. :

On my first trip, we wanted to go to Idem from SL. One of the taxi drivers (female) talked us into going to Eros instead so she could get a commission. There were 2 chicas, one very hot. the other less hot but very doable.

They quoted us $60/hr. We knew they tried to rip us off so we got up and left. As we are walking out, the taxista is getting her commission. I didn't see but she probably had to hand it back. We walked across the street to Idem and sessioned for like $45 with much better selection.

Lesson: NEVER LET A TAXISTA TALK YOU INTO GOING ANYWHERE YOU DON'T WANT TO GO!

Never been to any strip clubs in CR. Not really any point in it. Everyone says they are overpriced. I can goto any strip club in Miami and get the same overpriced latina's and save 200 bucks on a plane ticket. They need to come down in price, then maybe I will visit. :

The business model and the way to a consistently profitable enterprise doesn't seem that tough, but yet nobody can seem to get it right. Leads one to suspect other motives at work (like money laundering). We've got Brothers here who have run or at least have a good working knowledge of successful businesses elsewhere--can anybody explain why the CR businesses are such failures?

But as far as successful nightclubs why would anyone even try? Unlike the U.S. were guys are forced to try "gentleman/strip/etc." clubs to find ladies of the horizontal profession there are alternatives in San Jose.

MP's, bars, street girls all offer legal sex without the buying of drinks, tipping for dances etc.

Why even bother to open a club and put up with all the hassles? Want to invest your money in the sex industry open an MP.

Really want to be successful? Do a search on Club Taipan/ Green Door and spend your money replicating either of those two concepts.
