Facebook chat.. help needed!?

Is there a way you can block certain people from seeing you online without deleting them or having to go offline altogether?

Theres a lad who keeps pestering me. I don't dislike him would just like to have the option to switch off to him for a while without seeming rude!

Yes. I forgot how but there is a way to block people to where they can't see you.

Nope When your Online Anyone Can Chat With you you Can Either Go Offline or Block the certain people

I wish there was an easier way because I to have a few people that pop up when I really don't want to speak to them. There is the only option to make different friends list, I did it once and hated it, I wound up taking it off all together. I wish they would come up with a better feature for it and a way to not make it so people can see you, maybe they'll create that feature with the next upgrade.

Yes, there is. Click the facebook chat window, click friend lists, make a new list of any name you want. After you've created the list, put that person you want to block in that list by typing in their name, then go offline in the list you've placed him in. Hope I've helped.
