Anyone been to the Fiesta Casino close to the airport in the evening and can report on what it's like. I hear there's dancing there and a stage for a band that's elevated next to the dance floor.

I'll probably be there tonight...POKER night. Plus, the weekends have live bands and tons of Ticas running around. Much eye candy and "regular" action available if you are interested. It might be a hard adjustment to hustle regular girls again...especially if you dont speak spanish and the promise of CIEN wont cut the mustard.

The only downside is its a long way to go from most downtown activities. Still, worth a look.

There are no ATMs on the premises...go figure. So bring plenty of cash. They'll run a charge card for you at the cashier, but charge a 10% fee. YUCK.

I went there last week with my friends and a couple civilian girls. Pretty nice place. the band that plays is good. they have some dancers therethat are hot but it's kind of a cheezy show, and they've also included male dancers. they don't dance up on the bar like they used to. wed night they kept putting on a "Solid Gold" dance show every now and then. Plenty of regular girls there although we saw a table with some guys and a couple chicas we recognized from the D/R.

people dance with each other in the space in the middle of the bar. I guess you can dance with the cocktail waitresses because couple different guys kept doing it. some of those waitresses are pretty hot too.

played craps and won some money. had to get used to gambling in colones a little. dumped some money into a couple slot machines to keep my date entertained.

can't tell you what the drink prices are because my friend picked up the tab. he didn't complain though, so they can't be too bad. overall, I consider this a pretty cool place to hang that's outside the usual gulch nuttiness.

like tman said though, gotta have some spanish skills here to operate smoothly--but not to gamble. the stickman seemed to have decent english skills.. it is also a little far away (right next to the airport). I'll go back next trip.
