Meditation is a hot topic! Whether you’ve heard about the benefits of meditation from a friend, your yoga teacher, the news or even your doctor, it’s an area of health people are starting to wake up to.
It can be overwhelming to begin a meditation practice, quieting the mind is a muscle you need to strengthen with practice. But the benefits you’ll receive from sticking with it will outweigh any reservations. From decreasing anxiety to improving imagination and creativity, meditation is an amazing tool to calm your mind and can lead to endless possibilities.
CardioYoga studio, located at 521 South Livingston Ave., is offering a new type of meditation class that will also relax your body as well as your mind. Their 30-minute MeditationMassage class is being offered on Thursday evenings at 7:30, and will be a way to both relax your body and your mind, and is enjoyable even if you didn't reach mental zen by the end. You will be guided to let the mind go while Chelsea Alban, a licensed massage therapist, massages and stretches your body.
