Last year, and the other years were pretty good, except for Shanghai hotel which went down. I was hoping for some fun this summer, but, The Expo squashed that.. LE was too BIG, and always too close for comfort.. Even, the "city" itself and metro shut down at around 11/11:30PM, very unusual for Shanghai or any major Asian city..

Just a quick piece of input with all the debate over 999 vs. G18.

The two places are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in terms of what you're looking for...

Without a doubt, 999 (or JiYuan as it is now called) definitely has the hotter girls. I would scale them in the range of 7-10. HOWEVER, there are 2 cons with this:

1. 999/JiYuan is definitely more set on a 'business' schedule. What this means is don't expect DFK, nor the ladies to give you a particular GFE. If you're looking for a nice lay with a hot girl and nothing else, this is the place. As a previous poster mentioned, they seemed to have decreased their servicing time now as well (although one lady told me that should you request a girl at the reception table, they are able to give you more time, in the range of 90 minutes.)

2. G18 ladies will definitely give you more of a GFE. In addition, their servicing definitely seems to be better than 999/JiYuan as well. HOWEVER, this comes at a cost as well. The ladies, in my opinion, seem to be more on a 6-8 scale when compared to 999/JiYuan; and I say this as a frequent visitor to both businesses.

So which one is better? In reality, I consider these two businesses to offer completely different packages. If you're looking for a nice, quick lay at a cheap price, definitely go to 999/JiYuan. If you're looking for more 'atmosphere' and a nice experience (albeit with slightly less attractive females), choose G18.

Additionally, BOTH are open as of right now. Hope this clears up some of the debate.

seriously what's happening over here? When i came in Shanghai last year it was a great place to have quality time and now it seems very difficult ;Ok my point is are u sure these places like 999 or G18 are going to come back after the expo ? Any information is welcome, and also PM to share good places or contacts.

Just a heads up, Golden 18 has been closed for a few weeks now (nearing 3 weeks I believe). I first noticed they had been closed about 3 weeks ago, with a note on the elevator stating the owner had some personal matters to attend to, and would be closing the store for a week. Of course, as it is over that time frame, one can assume there is something fishy going on now... your best bet is to head to 999. (I walked by yesterday evening to check if G18 was still closed, and it was.)

Tell your driver "209 Wulumuqi Bei Lu"

Bei means North. There is a Wulumuqi Bei(north), Zhong(middle), and Nan(south).
