Well we don't really know what happened as the paper prints what they are told, but they are reporting that 100% of the deaths were drug trafficers and it happened around 3am near Macro Plaza in the Insurgentes area.....nowhere close to Zona Norte or Revolucion or even Zona Rio......now the part I find strange is they are trying to say they were rivals in the same cartel....this I believe is bullshit, and we may never no the truth.

I use to monger in South Central LA, and TJ is a nice walk in a park compared to that area. ( I use to work on edge of Downtown LA) The MS-13 like the killer bees in this country are/were highly overrated of being dangerous killers. I still fear the black gangs a lot more than Mexican gangs or MS-13.

Now for a long time I been on the forefront on Tijuana prostitution sites saying the media, and others tales about the dangers of Tijuana are over rated, and that Tijuana is relatively safe, especially if you use cabs and stay in the zona. But like all large cities TJ has it's share of crime, and of course the TJ cops aren't always nice.

Now finally have a well known monger with a good reputation to back up what I say. Looking at the post it sounds exactly like something I'd say. This poster wrote this on TER, the escort review site. He wrote it sometime in Jan 2008.

This poster was also a valuable contributor to this site for many years, and still maybe, but hasn't posted here recently.

My second home is in Tijuana, and I'm there several days a week . Mongering in Tijuana is very safe--much safer than in the US.

The US media does a very poor job of covering/understanding/explaining what happens in Tijuana. The collapse of the Arellano Felix cartel created a power vacuum and for the past couple of years various other cartels have been fighting for suprimacy. (The Mexican gov’t is now fightening the cartels. It makes great headlines, but what is happening is very distorted in the US press.)

The violance is not random, rather it is “organized.” If you are a narcotraficante or a policeman hired to help the drug lords you have lots to worry about. If you aren’t part of the drug trade your chances of having problems are slim to none.

Those who think they might get caught in the middle of something really don’t understand the situation. I’ll buy a bucket of beer for the first man who can provide me a single bonafide example of a monger getting hurt because he was caught in the middle of something related to drug cartel violance. It just doesn’t happen.
