I noticed talking to the girls lately they are all complaining about business being slow. They say there are too many girls in the market. Some girls are coming in for a week from out of town and leaving right away after they realize it’s not good business here. Some girls are texting me to come see them, where ordinarily that doesn’t happen. They have enough perverts already coming in to see them. Are the tides starting to shift in favour of the John’s?

Some places are crazy with the number of girls they schedule. Some places girls call just to see if anyone has called in sick yet and if not they do.

One of my regulars said she had 2 clients in a 6 hour shift 3 days in a row.

Below are just my musings as a very part-time hobbyist, so bear with me please.

Sounds from the above posts like the predictions made by some on these boards of people have fewer dollars in their pockets for GTA hobbying are coming true - if work is slow for the girls, that means demand is down. At least anecdotally.

But will it matter, really? Will you see spas close down in big numbers if this demand decline continue? Will the owners abandon the spa sector?

This is a semi-underground business as we all know, and there are other important factors at play when you talk about the spas that we need not get into here.

The spas survived Covid, and I imagine they can weather a bad year or two or three, even if demand falls. The girls may feel pressure, but the owners are patient and very very quiet, whatever the state of things.

Have you heard of the 'stripper index'? When the economy slows, one of the first industries hit is sex work/stripping, so strip clubs are unironically one of the best indicators of the economy.

I've been seeing trends online where strippers are talking about slow downs, so this is definitely true to some degree. One of my regular girls was telling me that business has been slowing down lately.

No doubt the entire global economy is slowing down, but Canada is definitely one of the worst hit economies in terms of Western countries, because of how disastrously our government has run the country.

There will be a lot of girls to leave the industry because they aren’t making the big bucks they were before. This is what makes it worth it to take 6-12 dicks a day. After a while you go somewhere else. Also less girls will come here because their friends won’t be coming back rich from Canada so I think overall there will be balance. Girls who live here will still make money. I am still going as per usual and haven’t changed my routine at all.

Badly planned immigration policy in Canada has been more accelerated and done for selfish/political reasons - again at the cost of Canadian citizens AND the immigrants themselves. Thankfully Canadians have had enough of this govt

Not long ago $60 got you 60 minute massage. Now some places are asking $80, over 30% increase! Is it warranted? Who knows? Has everything gone up 30% in the past couple of years? Don't think so.

I have also experienced a demand for higher amounts for extras. Higher quality service is not reciprocal. Actually found service beginning to be lack lustre.

I am more selective now, I frequent chosen few businesses and don't go out sampling too many other venues.

I have friends who have told me there are younger girls getting into the business who think $400 an hour is the normal and offer min services. The smart girls are locking in their regulars at fair rates knowing they have a steady base they can trust.
The stripper index is so real, it is why I also see more girls looking to do incalls with their regulars and reduce days at the spa. The spas suffer but the girls do well.
Once the economy cleans up, the spas will pick up.

Spas are definitely hurting, too many chefs in the kitchen. I know of a few MPA’s who have gone the Indy route and they love it. They’ve taken their regular clients with them, they can control their schedule and there’s no competition within their incall location. Plus whatever they make is theirs (after paying rent).

The SP’s I know who are busy are service queens. They only work certain days which creates a bit of demand, and their prices aren’t outrageous. They’re also not pricing themselves out of the market. As someone previously mentioned, these women are asking top dollar for lazy, unenthusiastic service.

It's cyclical. Currently supply is outpacing demand.

With Trump now in the Whitehouse you can bet our economy will suffer from his protectionism policies. Less disposable income for all. This slowdown could last longer than expected.

It would be interesting to see the age demographics for hobbiests. The large aging boomer population dying off could have an impact on business as well.

Long gone are the hey days of EBC and surrounding areas.
