As of right now very serious about move to T.J. I have 3 months left on my apartment lease at end of my 3 my rent is going up.{800 a month its going to 1100 for a single bed room. I can afford the rent but apartment is no worth that much. As of now only thing I am loseing is the 15min walk from my home to AB.}

As for the gun thing I always have a gun around me sent I was a kid.I never go hunting.Its hard to explain but I just like to have one around.{Its sits in a safe. I go to the shooting range every 2 months.}

You sound very serious Killit? I'm not sure about all the details about the gun permit, since I"m against guns in both the US and Mexico and wish they would ban them totally, but I do occasionally like to go to a shooting range to fire them, but could never use them on animals, the two legged or four legged kind. But I do know you need a letter from the local cops in the US saying you are a good guy, without a criminal record. I don't believe there are any gun shops in Tijuana, or I haven't seen one, as the law in TJ is very similar to llocal ordinance in places like New York city, but it seems like many people do have guns, and they aren't suppose too, especially the professional criminals working for drug lords.

Buying a house I don't think will help you get a Mexican citizenship faster, however marrying that ficha girls, or civilian Mexican girl will help. But like I said having those tourist cards, FM 1, 2, and 3 will make it easy to live in Mexico while waiting to become a Mexican citizen.

You may want to PM Burt and maybe Sampson, as I know Burt has a FM-3 card, and I'm sure Sampson does too, and they can give you the time frame and details. The only thing I know is many mongers with ex-bar girlfriends have gone through the process, and I know where to get the information from at any Mexican Consulate. You may want to contact them.

A US citizen can get a gun permit in Mexico that allows him to carry the gun for hunting. I sure wouldn't advise it with crazy TJ cops running around making up their own rules even if you had the proper paperwork.

The Mexican Constitution guarantees the right of Mexicans to possess arms just like the US second amendment, however Mexico doesn't have the 'NRA' so the constitutional rights have been severely restricted since the 60's when Mexico had civil unrest. The only thing I know for sure, if your a TJ cop or a drug lord, or working for a drug lord, guns are pretty easy to get from the US. Getting an apartment has nothing to do with being a Mexican citizen, however buying a house does, but even then you can still buy property in Mexico if you get a 'Bank trust.' However, it's better to become a Mexican citizen and not pay the extra expense.

I think the best way to become a Mexican citizen is marry a sex worker or better yet a 'ficha chica' who claims she never goes upstairs, but just drinks and dances with Mexican lonely workers who stop by.

Other then that I believe you have to live in Mexico for the last five years to become a Mexican citizen, and be able to prove it, you have to fill out a form and submit it along with your passport and FM-3 card. Lot of mongers have FM-3 cards, as as US citizens living in Mexico you have plenty of rights, and a FM-3 should be good enough for most people living in Mexico.

In the past if you became a Mexican citizen you had to give up your American citizenship, but you no longer have to. However, I understand that Mexican citizens aren't allowed to driver cars with foreign plates, so you might have to give up your favorite car. Personally I'd have no trouble giving up my American citizenship, but don't ask me to give up my car. ( the law may have changed regarding foreign plates?)
