I'm no doctor, however I have both a Nurse and pharmacists in my family. Here's what I've been told.
H1N1 is completely blown out of proportion. The 'reported cases' numbers are hugely misrepresented. The ONLY way to test for H1N1 is via a microbial swab which is only done if you're admitted to the hospital and moved to ICU. Clinics, doctors etc that tell you it's H1N1 have no real way to tell H1N1 from any other form of the flu. Thus every flu case that comes through they label H1N1 and poof we have a pandemic.
That's not to say that it's not dangerous but then ANY flu has it's risks, this particular one (H1N1) seems to be more nasty merely because the 'target group' has less natural antibodies from it, likely it's a flu that's not been passed around for many years (explaining why the elder generation is at less risk from this one).
Proper sanitation techniques (IE Hygene), as well as adequate rest, and good eating habits will, for most people, be more then sufficient to battle this particular outbreak. Also bear in mind that the Vaccine was 'rushed through' testing and there is still much speculation as to a) how much it helps and b) it's side effects. Honestly when viewing the side effects and knowing that the vaccine 'may or may not protect' I'll take my chances lol.
Do the research yourself, ask questions, and if offered a shot ask the side effects, as well as the risks, if they say there aren't any find a new doctor lol. EVERY shot and medication has a side effect or risk.
