Swedish – composed primarily of long, flowing strokes and gentle kneading and is perfect if you simply want to relax.
Deep Tissue – This method provides deeper pressure and is usually combined with another method of therapy. It’s great if you like to feel your therapist is really “getting into” your muscles.
Neuromuscular – A more medically oriented form of massage that addresses specific issues, whether acute or chronic, by treating myofascial trigger points. This type of massage requires good communication between therapist and client in order to properly assess and address issues. It’s very effective if you’re having a specific pain on movement, or radiations of numbness, tingling or weakness.
Myofascial – A technique that addresses the fascia, it uses a light touch to unwind fascial restrictions. and is very relaxing.
Craniosacral – An extremely gentle form of massage therapy that involves very light touch and addresses the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the body through a specific protocol.
Sports – Generally a more vigorous massage, depending on when you are receiving it during your training process and includes a lot of stretching.
Prenatal – Special positioning is available for moms-to-be to assure the safety of the little one. We have a special table upon request or employ special side-lying techniques. Typically you’ll be in a heaven of pillows for this massage! If there are any special circumstances your Doctor is treating you for during your pregnancy be sure to check and make sure massage is safe for you and the baby.
Reflexology – A therapy that addresses other parts of the body through reflex points in the hands or feet.
