new client --- hiccups for 4 years ---- sometimes only one or two hicks in a day ...... explosive sounds which made one observer during a car ride to look around to see where the car crash was-- (reminds me of Tourettes syndrome).....hmmmm...her breathing is incorrect.... contracting the abs during inhalation, so I spent much of the first session coaching diaphragmatic breathing, and checking for tightness in the serratus muscles and diaphragm. ย Gave her homework with counting on inhalation and exhalation.... slower and longer exhalation. ย Checked Travell ---- some techniques mentioned regarding releases for diaphragm which I will use next session, and teach the client to do on herself. ย Am wondering and will ask if Tourettes has been ruled out. ย Any input? ย Has tried accupuncture, chiropractic, etc.Linda in NC
