How can Allure compete with SRM prices!!???

I will definitely be going to SRM with the new prices for summer, great move SRM!! I always wanted to try some new girls, and these new price options are perfect. Let me get this correct,

20min NR $80 SRM

30min NR $130 Allure

WOW are you kidding me Allure?? The 10min difference is not much for me to get in and out. $50 dollar difference for essentially the same thing. Goodbye Allure.

You're comparing apples to oranges. A 30 min NR at SRM is $100 ($120 @ SRM2), which is a better comparison.

I think you're looking at it on a per minute basis and he's looking at an overall session cost. Yes, it is apples (20 min) and oranges (30 min)... but, in a sense, that's because Allure doesn't sell apples...

I don't think price difference of 10-30 dollars is a factor.
It is the girls that I come to see.
Not an issue for me to spend up to 250 or more for an hour as long as I get the best of services.

Remember, massageplanet.netITES are only a percentage of MP clients. Not every guy out there is comparison shopping on the Internet and predicting the apocalypse for a small difference in price. Every MP has it's own clients, and they may or may not visit other spas too.

This is not to say any spa operates in a vacuum where it can dictate prices. Overall market forces come in to play so services will fall within a range...

Put it this way, if a guy is assured of a great experience every time at a spa with no drama, attitude or unreasonable restrictive service regardless of who he sees, that spa will not have a problem charging an extra $20 or even $50.

Very few of these spas exist. Allure is one.

Yes! ...and that's exactly the difference!

So the upside is that at SRM you might save up to 20% of your total expense vs. Allure. The possible downsides include:

- You could have a lousy session with an MPA who is pissed about her recent pay cut
- The time you paid for could be shorted by a much larger margin than the money you saved
- At the end of it all you could be told by the MPA that "even though the spa dropped their prices, I haven't dropped my own personal rates (happened to me)
etc. etc. etc.

"The disappointment of low quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." That's why price is only one factor and in many cases no where near the most important one.

It's true that these things can happen anywhere, including Allure, but I find they happen with a predictable rarity at Allure because the place is very well managed and I believe they take care in getting great MPAs who really have their act together. It's a very professional operation, and consequently there are many people who are happy to pay $10 or $20 more for that level of quality.

All of this is tempered by the fact that we're talking about a discretionary expenditure for a commodity service in essence.

The market as a whole is price-sensitive. It's no secret talking to owners that business has been slow since late 2008 and hasnt really recovered.

If you had some sort of guarantee that by paying a higher price, that you'd leave completely satisfied with the service, I think that'd be worth it. But nothing is really guaranteed in this business..

IMHO, only reason to pay more is if there is a particular girl you want to see.

I have had poor experiences at Allure, most recently with Raquel. I would pay more to visit SRM, AGS, or PA. Paying either Allure or HFH more for inferior service is not something I would consider and I suspect others feel the same way. HFH has already adjusted their pricing and I anticipate Allure will do the same in the future.
