How often to visit a Massage Parlor?

How often you go to MP? Does it depend only of financial resources or any other reasons exist?
Personally I visit MP on weekly basis… I do not have a scheduler… but only when I desire, especially after a stressful situation or after a sport activity.

When it is better to go to MP: when you relaxed(for example during weekend) or when you are very tired to remove your stress.

According to my experience best masseuses usually work during weekdays, especially Thursday and Friday, and they have Days Off for weekend.

Once a week minimum, maybe about 5 times per month. I try to keep it to the theraputic massage with release. Once in a while I will go and try something different. For me exotic or erotic does not do anything more for me than a good massage with release. Thai is OK, but after a few times its just nothing unique anymore. Then there is the expense, anything special always cost more and sometimes you bet a big surprise tab at the end. If you know some place that offers good service at a reasonable price, stick too the places where you knou you will get good value.

Ill say around 1 or twice per month, depending on the level of stress/cash.
I stopped taking too much risk, and stick to known places with known good MP.

I'm used to 70$/hr to the salon (including spa) and 80$ to the therapist for thai. At that fee, what you took would have cost me 760$ (excluding tips in case of superior service). Where do you go? Do you take the thai option?

I try to go once a week....spend about $300/month.
I am with Laura...I would rather pay for a good massage and a HJ, than waste it on the most overrated and overpriced service in existence, namely "thai" or what feebly passes for such in this town by name only.

This summer I went to a place that offered a $10 massage, I may as well have thrown my money away on that one. There is no such thing as a free lunch or a free massage, let alone a $20 massage. You get what you pay for. Some of the salons that use to charge a $35 entry fee for the half hour have reduced it to $20 ( or even $10 ) just to get you in the door. How they get you in the end is to charge you $80 for the thai massage. So the $100 ( or $90 for the half hour ) is no bargain. I find that the private massages offer a more personal 1 on 1 experience and a consistant service. At the private places it will cost me $80 for a full hour of complete body massage relaxation. I find that if I tip just a little more than other people, the return visits are much more pleasant. Still at $80 for the hour it is a much better deal than $90 / $100 for the half hour. At the salons you are never gauranteed the same person, you are never assured of the level of experience from the maseuse as many of these girls are unexperienced and come and goand are changed like the weather.
