Idem empty last night

This is no exageration. Last night I couldn't find a novia de noche in the DR so I took a walk down to Idem since I hadn't been in there for several months. It was around 9 pm on this Thursday night. PRIME TIME one might say.Now granted this was somewhat of a holiday in CR as it was the 1st of May. However there was a good crowd at the DR and later at KL. So I walked in and sat with Roberto at the bar and ordered a beer. (1800 colones) I was shocked to see only 4 chicas sitting in their chairs. (none of which interested me in the least) Then I was really shocked to see JUST 1 customer other than me in the entire remodeled club. Within 5 minutes he left his table and other than Roberto I was the ONLY male in the room. Roberto said that there were a couple of other chicas working who were busy so I guess it wasn't totally deserted. Roberto then announced to the 4 chicas to take a break,and they all went in the back for something to eat. It was a weird feeling to be in that enlarged room all alone. Perhaps some of you regulars could explain to us if this was an exception or the rule now that they have chosen to raise thei prices.

Yesterday (05/01) was the International Workers Day, something very similar to the Labor Day in the States, it is known as the May Day also (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Workers'_Day), so almost no one worked, that is maybe the reason why it was that empty, plus, I think, the fact of their price increase.

It has been so bad there that several of the chicas are now working days across the street in Eros--$40 in the day,$60 at night. The last 3-4 times I have been in Idem, there was never more than 1 or two guys and 4-5 chicas. Maybe just bad timing, but I do not remember it ever being this bad.

I like Roberto, but have to agree.The new prices are for newbies. I will not spend any money there. Too many better options for less money.

Plus, there are really no added values to the prices in this place. Girls have gone down to just above average. Not only do the prices need to be lowered, nut a girl retooling would not hurt at all.

Can someone elaborate on the new price structure?

Last year I was there and it ran about $46 for the hour.

I think it's $64....I can't recall, last time I was there I waited too long and unknowingly we had closed the place down. Don Papi was there.

It's $60 for the upstairs and $70 for downstairs (bigger bed and nicer room)... That's the cost...
Now for the value... Some of the chicas were beautiful and very sexy in early April, thus a worthwhile treat... 8) 8) 8)

Now TonyTC, where is the value??? Guess it is all relative, but do not see the value in paying 60 when some of the same chicas can be had for $40 during the day right across the street; and right now with it being a buyers market, there are a lot of hot chicas in several other places that can be had for $60 or less-some a lot less!

Now if he were to lower the prices back down to the range of NF and ZB, or even better, Eros and Krysis, there might be value. :wink: :roll: :idea:

I would agree with that. Idem is not as nice as ZB or New Fantasy, yet more expensive. Not good, imo.But the big spenders will keep going there.If that is what floats your boat, fine by me. The good news is us cheapos will probably outlast most of the big spenders in the present economy.I predict Roberto will be announcing a new friendlier pricing structure soon.
