Is it safe with new bylaw?

I am just curious since I sometimes goto Utopia, are we now breaking the law if we go to a massage parlour in Brampton? I read the other post, but it doesn't help.
I was hoping someone on the site might know the legalities of the situation.

There is no way anyone can pass a law restricting your entry into any licenced place of business. Now if something illegal is happening in that place then that is another matter. Nothing illegal goes on in any licenced massage parlour, at least to the best of my knowledge. Anything else you hear is a lie. A horrible dirty, dirty, lie.

A bylaw is a licensing issue, not criminal. Only the owner is at risk for fines and closure. There is no risk to the customer or MT's by breaking a licensing bylaw.

If they could prove it was regularly used for sex, than it might be a criminal bawdy house issue. But very hard to prove and rarely done. Edmonton Police website even says if the door is locked its private and not subject to bawdy house law, but other cities could try and enforce but have to prove regular use for sex, not just a body rub.

Again the Brampton no nudity change is a licensing bylaw only, has nothing to do with bawdy law, only owner has the risk.

Everyone is freaking out about this new by-law in Brampton when it is just patterned after the one in Richmond Hill - where IT is and has been operating for years and has been adopted by Vaughn - home of HFH. HFH was still there last time I checked.

All that has really happened is that several ILLEGAL, unlicensed places where raided and Nick at Utopia had a very unfortunate problem with a minor.

Any Police force would come into an establishment like storm troopers if they thought there was a minor working there.

I wish everyone would just calm down and think.
You all remind me of CNN and their reporting that Toronto is in the death grip of the SARS plague!

The rules in Brampton are now different then they were in Brampton before BUT not any different than in other jurisdictions at present.

Like any game we feel threatened when we perceive that the rules are changing mid play. The rules are now known. The game is the same. Let's get back to playing ball.

The biggest disadvantage as I see it as unlike the places in Mississauga they can't have nude or nr on the Menue. I like going into Allure for example, choosing a women, having the $110 fee charged to my credit card and that's it. No having to talk in secret or in codes or MPA having to worry she is talking to a bylaw officer. Its on the Menu and no big deal.

Of in the case of HTH, seems she is constantly hasseled by the bylaws officers, her website can't have pictures that are too uncovered and she doesn't want details even of nr it seems posted about HFH since she now bylaw officers are watching just waiting to get her for a bylaw violation.

It seems like the religious police at times like in Iraq...or the U.S.
