Many of these posts center on SJ...But what about Jaco? Any good bars to visit here?

I was in Jaco in August and really loved it. I stayed at the Best Western Jaco that really a great hotel based on location and quality of the resort. However, they won't let you bring girls into the hotel. Don't worry, the girls know all of the short term hotels in all of Jaco for about "$20. Most of the action starts in the nearby Beetle Bars where all choices of hot Columbianas, Ticas, Nicas and Dominicanas work as free lancers. I hooked up with a young 20 year old tica that rocked my world for a cien. What a beautiful young girl.

The action then goes to the loud and wild Monkey Bar a few blocks away. Finally all the hot girls go to Nacho Daddy's where you can drink and dance until morning and take your girl back to your room in the early morning.

Beatle Bar Jaco

I live in Jaco full time, am good friends with the owner and managers of the Beatle Bar, as well as the other bars in town, and always have the most accurate and current information as to whats happening here, where to go, where not to go, and how to have the safest and most enjoyable time here in Jaco.

First off, I have to shout this out loud. THE BEATLE BAR IS NOW ENCLOSED & AIR-CONDITIONED. Finally! And it feels greaaaaat in there now.

I know most of the girls that work the Beatle Bar and am always glad to assist with who's the most fun and known to offer you the most bang for your buck. The Beatle Bar is by far THE place to find the hottest girls and the most variety. They just started closing daytime until January and are open nightly starting at 6:00pm.The action gets busy there around 7:30-8:00pm. and stays crowded until around 1-1:30am. It's also the safest place to meet that special friend. While there are others that have hooked up with chicas for hire at some of the other bar/nightclubs, I have heard of countless horror stories from many Gringos that have made the Mistake of leaving with a working girl from the Monkey Bar, Nacho Daddys, or Pancho Villas..

These places do nothing to monitor these girls, where they are from, or if they have a hoistory of theft or other crimes against unknowing tourists. The Beatle Bar really monitors the girls that they allow to enter there, and will banish a girl for life from entering again if they receive word that she has stolen from a gringo, drugged their drink, or dealt drugs in the bar. Once in a while, an unknown Bad apple will slither her way through the door, but these instances are not common.

Hiring a girl for company outside of the Beatle Bar increases your risks of a bad experience 10 fold. While some of the Beatle Girls do go to Monkey, Nachos, or Panchos after 1:00pm, chances are that the girls working the streets or any other bar are doing so becasue they are not allowed in the Beatle and for a good reason.

As far as Hotels go, please know that both the Marriot Hotel in Los Sunos and The Best Western in Jaco DO NOT allow you to bring girls onto the property. They are adiment about it and security will not accept payofs to turn the other cheek. Also, I do not consider hotels that charge you extra to bring a chica to your room to be "Chica Friendly". Thats BS. I know of several nice hotels here, priced fairly that are very Chica Friendly at no additional cost.

On a parting note, if you are heading to Jaco or planning to, it's a very good idea to contact JOSH at the Beatle Bar. He owns the tour desk inside the bar, and manages the place as well. He is the ultimate Jaco Concierge' and resource for everything. The guys knows everyone, and can hook you up with Chicas, Hotels, Tours, Transfers, Restaurants, and everything you need for your Jaco visit. I'm staying at the Mariott Los Suenos for the next few days. How far is Beetle's Bar from here? Are there any short stay hotels nearby i can take the girls too?

What are the going rates for the girls in the Bar?

Hooked, this is one of the best posts I've seen on Jaco. I have stayed away because it does not have a reputation for being a beautiful beach. But, you told us where is safe and where is not. Many thanks!

If you can't use your hotel room, they all have their favorite short time hotels all over town. The girls are all aware of the hotel restrictions.

My hot young tica took me to a motel on the south edge of town that had a big sailfish picture in its sign. It was called the "El Narajana" I believe. I paid $30 for two hours of use. It was very safe and clean with a nice swimming pool. I could have stayed all night. At the great sex, while waiting for a taxi to take us back to the Beetle Bars some local ticos staying at the motel offering us a few beers as a celebration of our time together. This was so cool.

I did all of this on my one. But I am a fairly street-wise Chicago guy that has mongered in Tijuana about 50 times.

The Beatle Bar really monitors the girls that they allow to enter there, and will banish a girl for life from entering again if they receive word that she has stolen from a gringo, drugged their drink, or dealt drugs in the bar.

Really? This must be something new because each time I've been there, I've seen very little security around the entrance. They come and go as they please. Are they now checking ID's at the door? How do they know who is banned? Do they use a computerized system?

I do appreciate you posting up-to-date info, but you are not being very objective when comparing BB to the other spots (MB, ND, etc). From what I've seen, the chance of picking up a bad chica is just as high from BB as any other place in town. I agree that BB has the most variety and sheer numbers, but unless something has drastically changed recently, I can't agree with your assessment of BB security.

Hey gang, I have edited this post slightly as I seemed to ruffle a few feathers which was not my intention. I was simply trying to update the community on what was going on here in Jaco, so if that makes me a clown, than welcom to my circus. LOL

The security in front of the Beatle Bar is quite prominent and has been since the new owners took over a year ago. There are always 2 Security guys out in front and several inside. The guys out front do indeed check the ID's/Passports of EVERY female that enters the building no and keep very close tabs on those that get banned. So to answer the last sentance in your post, a LOT has drastically changed at the Beatle Bar, from security to air conditioning, to a total re-model and addition of a full service Concierge' and tour desk, all for the betterment of their customers.

As far as being "Objective" regarding the risks of picking up chicas in other locations, I can certainly understand your second guessing my advice, as if you have not had bad experiences yourself or heard of any, you would really have no way of knowing. I am here all the time, and have eyes and ears everywhere in this town. My advice was not based on personal opinion..just the facts. The Fact remains the same that is riskier to take a girl for hire from the Monkey, Nachos, the Street or Pancho Villas. There have been more bad incidents from girls taken from those locales than at the Beatle Bar.

Now don't get me wrong, Monkey bar is a lot of fun after Midnight, and there are and some of the working girls from the Beatle that Migrate over there, as well as regular ticas, and tourists, but the working girl scene there is mixed as there are girls that work the other bars becasue they are banned from Beatle. Nachos gets going at around 2AM, with a very young crowd typically.

Panchos isnt that Gringo friendly anymore, and I dont recommend it to the tourist.

Again, my offer always stands for accurate, up to date, and friendly information for the traveling monger that will pass through Jaco.

It's about 15 minutes from the Marriot Los Suenos. Just so you know, Marriot will not allow you to enter with a "Chica" or bring one to your room. They are really strict about it as well.

There is an hourly hotel located right next to the Beatle bar though, as well as a few others in town. ALso know that the Best Western in Jaco has the same policy and will not allow you to bring your new friend to your room with you.

I was in Jaco Feb, April, and June and it appeared that the business at the Monkey was dwindling compared to the last few years, and the Jungle, which has never been busy, was picking up somewhat. I'll be back in a couple of weeks--what's your take on this?

For what it is worth, I don't 100% agree with this statement.

San Jose has all that you want for a PURE monger experience. If that is all that you are looking for, then stick with San Jose, both from a safety, value and a quality perspective.

The only reason a monger would want to add Jaco to his itinerary is because of the other activities that the area has to offer. That said, for the most part, better tours can be found elsewhere, albeit, not with the accompanying monger option.

I will say this, the monger that wants a variety of outdoor activities by day and a good selection of puntas at night; Jaco is the #1 choice in Costa Rica, by far.

Too bad that Los Suenos changed their Chica policy. I am glad I got in under the wire; I had one hell of a party in the Presidential Suite a couple years back.
