Five of us stopped by a new place tonight (well, new to me). The name was Kamur Night Club. The new owner, John, is a gringo and he has recently dumped some big $$$ into making improvements. Here's the scoop:
Location - It is southwest of the gulch (I'll get the address later). You will need to take a cab as the ride was about 8 to 10 minutes. A taxi driver in front of the DR knew exactly where it was.
Exterior - The night club occupies the second floor. There is a disco (Sherry's?) on the bottom floor. Look for the iron railings to find the entrance. There is a bouncer at the door to greet you (and collect admission?), then you walk up the lighted stairs to the club.
Interior - At the top of the stairs, you will see the main stage ahead and just to your right. It is surrounded by small tables and chairs (what I refer to as pervert's row). There are more table and chairs located in an outer ring. The bar is straight ahead. They have at least two televisions, although why would anyone watch TV when there are naked women dancing. They have a DJ in the southwest corner and a pool table directly in front of the booth. There is another smaller stage on the south wall, but it was empty tonight. The private dance areas (benches with a table in each alcove) are located along the north wall. Note: there is no fourth wall so it is open to the bar, although you are in the dark. I am told there are even private rooms that you can take the girls to for more fun.
Chicas - John has gathered a fine group of chicas, with something to satisfy just about everyone. I'm guessing there were 10 dancers tonight (Monday). The dancer I was with was a cute, little Dominican with small breasts whose name was Judy. By the end of the night, she told me she loved me - and what the hell, I believed her. There was also another Dominican that was playing pool when we came in who was very fine. She was tall, very pretty, and possessed an outstanding pair of breasts.
Dances - On stage, each dancer took a turn for two songs, stripping naked during the last. At one point, there was a group dance with 4 girls. After the first song, they all left the stage and worked the crowd while shedding their clothes.
Specials - I partook of one private dance with Judy. We went to an open alcove and she proceeded to remove her outfit and allowed me to touch her all over. As I told the others in the cab on the way home, I was even allowed to get a little "stinkyfinger".
Costs - The private dance was three songs for $10. They also have a table dance with two songs for $5. Judy quoted me a couple different prices for the backroom fun, but she seemed confused about how much it actually was. I think we're headed back tonight so I'll have more info later. There probably was some cover charge at the door, but a fellow member of the board (and a good friend of John's) passed us through. He even picked up the entire tab for the night, so I can't report on drink costs for me or Judy.
Summary - Another must see when you are in San Jose. There is definitely something to be said for watching a dancer on stage, then have her come to your chair and grind that body against yours. I'll be back !!!
