A Lafayette massage therapist arrested last year on allegations that he sexually assaulted two women who were clients has been sentenced to prison, followed by a decade of intensive probation.
Brandon Chase Smith, 33, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted sexual assault and second-degree felony assault with a sexual factor basis. He was sentenced to eight years in the Colorado Department of Corrections, followed by 10 years of sex offender intensive supervised probation, according to the Boulder County District Attorney's Office.
Online court records indicate Smith pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced last week.
He was working for Green Leaf Massage when he touched two women inappropriately during their massages. A woman told police that Smith had touched her when she was asleep and getting a massage.
When police talked to the owner of the massage shop, another woman came forward and said Smith touched her inappropriately when she was asleep and getting a massage.
Smith had previously been arrested for and admitted to raping an intoxicated woman in Thornton in 2005, but the case was dropped when the woman decided not to pursue charges.
He was still in custody at the Boulder County Jail on Wednesday, according to online records.
