At least two Waco-area massage parlors were raided Tuesday as a part of an ongoing investigation into local prostitution, McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said.
Deputies with the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Department of Homeland Security executed the search warrants. Officers were seen entering a business in the Bosque Square retail center, near Bosque Boulevard and State Highway 6, with unmarked law enforcement vehicles stagged outside the strip mall.
McNamara said another massage parlor was a subject of a search warrant Tuesday but declined to give a location of the second business. He said efforts against prostitution operations will continue throughout the county.
“We certainly have gotten some good support and help from Homeland Security and ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) investigators,” McNamara said. “We are not going to let up and continue the effort.”
No additional details were available Tuesday.
