Local Tico spots versus the Gringo favorites. Your thoughts.

I'm referring to places like Arcadas, Molinjo Rojo, Le Grillon ( you can find gems in these places) and others versus places like HLH, Idem, New Fantasty, ect. I like both but I find myself drawn to the local joints more although my friends, that do not speak Spanish as I do, kinda get freaked out in the Tico places. What have been your experiences?

I am among the biggest fans of both daytime and night time local spots including and beyond the ones mentioned. A couple that come to mind are Las Margaritas and International Las Toucas located across the street from each outher. any local recon on Margaritas or is it even open. Then for daytime adventure you always have places like Calle 6, Jet Set 2 and the Dungeon( Flamingos).rbc100

btw. pantera rosa was so bangin this weekend. went both nights on fri and sat. took a couple new guys and both nights were full of fun. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Bar Camelot was always my favorite last afternoon predinner time spot.(its been a year since I was last there). Very local, basically abar with working girls (not that many either), room upstairs. Always have meet fun locals who were gald I was there. Many good times.

I've also never had locals unhappy that I was in one of their spots. As long as your having a good time and not acting like an a** you'll have a great time.
