Losing friend, doesn't like to chat anymore?

I have a friend I've known for ages, and basically we used to chat on fb, messenger and text message quite a lot, as in he would text back/respond quickly and would actually bother to write something, rather than a few words, if any. nowadays when we chat i have to start the convo, and if i do, he takes ages to respond, and if he responds its usually one word answers and like not like it used to be and he can be kinda rude.. just curious does he now want to be my friend anymore or???

Why don't you ask him straight out? Ask him he doesn't seem chatty as before, is there something wrong or if you offended him in some way. Not to mention he just may have gotten a significant other and they can be a bit controlling. The best of luck.

Perhaps he doesn't, if you've offended him or upset him in some way. It could also be that, if you've been doing this for a long time, particularly a couple of year, he's busy. As people get older sending text msgs and talking on msn can become less appealing.

Next time your talking to him just ask what's going on, at least then you will have an answer for better or worse.
