Machines taking over!

My hub has just shown me a page he'd removed from last Sunday's Express -
It's an advert for the 'Circulation Enhancer' by good old JML (of 'handy household gadgets' fame).
He handed it me with a flourish saying "here you are - you're about to become redundant! Basically its a device that uses low frequency micro-currents to stimulate reflex points in the feet (25 mins treatment) Receiver sits down and places feet on foot pads.
Has anyone seen/tried one of these devices? They usually sell for about £149.
Any comments welcome!

They can try to take over if they wish, but it's highly unlikely. Devices come and go, and electrotherapy gnerally speaking isn't a new concept. Another thing that isn't a new concept is bull****.

Walking on pebbles, and using hot and cold foot baths also stimulates circulation and is very cheap.

That gets on my pip that stupid advert, that womans mother doesn't go for cups of tea anymore, she just uses her for her circulation booster, LOB (derogatory) lol

P.S as we all know nothing feels better than human touch

Thanks for your replies - sorry I'm a bit late getting back.
There is another circulation booster machine on the market, as you may have seen, made by High Tech Health and TBH, I don't really have any quarrel with it...it carries endorsements by a consultant vascular surgeon and Dr Chris Steele (from ITV's 'This morning') my husband has a circulation prob in his lower legs and reckons, having borrowed this machine to try, that it has helped his condition...BUT it doesn't make any claims relating to reflex points,
Chinese wisdom, or revitalising the entire body, unlike JML's latest wonder machine!

Interesting to read throught the link you supplied RP - thanks for that. Of course, the author's healthy sceptism extends to reflexology in general... and probably many other complementary therapies too, so can't say I'm entirely with him - but yes, so many claims out there do need debunking.

Certainly not completely endorsing the link I posted. But I do feel that there is bull@@@@ in CAM, and whether a treatment is allopathic or naturopathic, we do need a pinch of commonsense. As for skeptics, the problem with them is that they do suffer from tunnel vision, bless their cotton socks.

Surprised that Kvdp didn't contribute to this thread about glory of epsom salt footbaths ;-) lol.
