Man faces tax fraud charge in connection to massage parlor investigation - WSBT

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — An 82-year-old man faces charges of not paying sales taxes on businesses tied to a string of alleged sex trafficking massage parlors in St. Joseph County.

James Belkiewitz faces a felony charge tied to the taxes.

Police say it all stems from a 2022 investigation involving local massage parlors allegedly involved in human trafficking, sexual solicitation and tax fraud.

Investigators say Belkiewitz is connected to three of those massage parlors.

One was on 933 north of South Bend, another on the city's southeast side on South Michigan Street and the third on State Road 23 in Granger.
