The XiCheng address is in the inner city area south west of the city centre, the olympic sites are to the north and a long way from this hotel. The Marco Polo Parkside is north near the olympic sites. perhaps ypu saw the huge new concert hall that has just been finished, it looks like a stadium from outside.
I suggest you double check your booking and use www.elong.com to get a handle on where these two hotels are.

Not my area of Beijing so I do not have any recommendations for that area, XiCheng is the western part of the city (Xi = west) possibly street walkers in or near Xidan otherwise, perhaps, someone else has experience in that area.

This is the Marco Polo near the olpympic area -double check the english address. As with many hotels in china the chinese name is not exactly yhe same as the english name - hence the problems for taxi drivers.

I stayed at the Marco Polo in Septemeber, on business. The hotel was only a few months old and so no taxi drivers new where it was, you needed to refer to other landmarks.
It is in the business area between ring roads 4 and 5. I wasn't mongering, I would be too nervous in China, it was strictly business.
There are not many westerners in that area, definitely not a tourist area but not far from the new Olympic stadium.
hotel was great and the rooms execellent with full glass wall into bathroom, with motorised curtain fro privacy.
One benefit was braodband connect at no charge
