PIERRE | The six lawmakers who comprise the Legislature’s Rules Review Committee voted unanimously Monday to reject fee increases sought by the state Massage Therapy Board.
The legislators also sent back to the board proposed changes that would have removed the board’s disciplinary process from the rules entirely and made it board policy instead.
The fees rejection was, at least in part, a reflection that the board didn’t follow state law. Sen. Lance Russell, R-Hill City, said the board didn’t provide the required financial data.
“I just didn’t see anything,” Russell said.

Jennifer Stalley made the presentation to the legislative committee. She told him the financial information was on the board’s website.
“My apologies,” Stalley said.
