Friendship Haven residents, families, and employees will now have an opportunity to relax and enjoy professional massage therapy services.


Wandering Wellness, owned and operated by Elisa Bohn, a licensed massage therapist, is now located at the entrance of the Friendship Haven Wellness Center.

“Wandering Wellness is ecstatic to be joining a comprehensive community like Friendship Haven,” said Bohn. “Not only is the campus itself beautiful, the staff shines even brighter by already making us feel at home in our new location. We look forward to offering a convenient location for the Friendship Haven community, as well as the Fort Dodge and surrounding communities with In-Home (Mobile Massage), In-Office (at our location), and Corporate Chair Massage (on-site).”

According to Bohn, she will continue to see her clients in the new location.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Wandering Wellness to the Friendship Haven campus,” said Friendship Haven Chief Executive Officer Julie Thorson. “Elisa’s expertise is already well-loved by several of our team members, myself included, so bringing her practice here felt like a natural fit.”

Bohn, who is from Fort Dodge, attended Florida State College of Jacksonville, Florida, and continued her career through the Marriott Brand Resorts where she worked in luxury spas, including at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island Spa, where she spent most of her career.

According to Bohn, she incorporates many modalities in her massage treatments which are tailored to individual needs and goals, a personal service she learned while working at some of the world’s top spas.
