Blood on fingers and grossed out... Anyone happen to this? I don't know maybe other places got blood too on me.

Need to get testing now . barf. never going back again.

Never had blood on me but have had a few sessions with MPA's that were going through their period at the time though.

The first time this happened, I noticed a white string down there and couldn't for the life of me figured out what it was. Then during the b/s it clicked in my head what it was... lol I'm so slow at my age!

I usually go to mid-level Asian spas in North York and Scarborough, and it seems that working during their period is quite normal.

The tampon string is an obvious indication that it is that time of the month, but if not, they generally tell me why it's not a good idea that day to touch there.

On rare ocasions I have been allowed digits only to find afterwards that the attendant was on her period. Sometimes thay seem embarrased about that, but usually not.

I guess that making a buck overules the ideal concept of not working during their period.

Agree, driving in your car poses a health risk thousands of times greater than being exposed to menstrual blood while diddling a mp during a session.

The health risks are exposure to blood borne diseases like HIV hep b and c. These pretty much require blood to blood contact, so the risk must be pretty low, not zero, but much lower than stuff you do every day, without a second thought.

Distasteful, maybe, but high health risk- not so much.

take note that not all women have period just because they have a string there. learn that from an ex-mpa. if you walk-in and your not their type, "i'll be back to freshen up" ( insert tampon ). unless of course there is blood then the rest that she told me was possible.

This is not like the dangers of sex during menstruation with your safe partner. As it is HIV virus is carried and transmitted largely in blood and sperm transfer (i.e. needles (blood), anal sex - sperm into the blood stream, even dentist avoid blood with gloves). Kissing such as saliva transfer obviously have little risk. How do possibly think taking infected blood in your mouth doesn't increase your chances ?

On the Internet - it isn't easy to find definitive answers on this topic but this quote is from the HIV & Aids information site:

"The levels of HIV in vaginal fluid vary. They are likely to be highest around the time of menstruation (having your period), when HIV-bearing cells shed from the cervix are most likely to be found in vaginal fluid, along with blood. Oral sex will therefore be more risky around the time of menstruation."

To me - any contact with blood from an unknown source is obviously risky. Considering how the disease is transmitted - seems a no brainer but I'm not a doctor.

The other danger is my puking when the tongue wraps around that string.
