Arrested by Members of No. 13 Division Investigated by Members of the Hold-up Squad
On February 7, 2003, police had reason to arrest a male suspect who robbed Holistic Health Center, 952 Eglinton Avenue West, where he entered
the premises, pointed the weapon at the female victim?s head, forced her to the floor and made a demand for cash. The suspect pulled the victim by
her hair from the floor as the weapon was pointed at her head. As the victim was making good her escape the suspect fired the weapon just missing
her. The suspect then grabbed the victim?s purse and fled the scene with the victim following. The victim was able to attract citizens who held the
suspect for police. An investigation revealed that between January 30, 2003 and February 7, 2003, a male suspect armed with a handgun, entered
two businesses in the Greater Toronto Area, and made a demand for cash. During the robberies the suspect bound the victims? feet and hands with
tape. At the time of his arrest the suspect was found to be in possession if items used in the commission of the above mentioned crimes as well as
property belonging to one of the victims. En route to the police station the suspect attempted to hide a quantity of cocaine in the seat of the police car.
Charged accordingly. Partial recovery has been made. Investigation is continuing.
