Yes you can check out some lovely gardens in Suzhou. But I sure hope you are not here now. It is really hot! I think it was 38 deg C today!
Suzhou is also famous for silk and some teas. But then I am sure this is not the only thing you will be visiting if you come here.

Something tells me information about Suzhou should be in a separate thread.
What do you think? Should I start it?

Suzhou is actually a city of about 100 KM west of Shanghai. It is very urban. It is famous of lovely Chinese gardens.

Thanks. But I am very new to the board and even newer to Shanghai or China. So much so, that i don't know what Suzhou is. Is that an area of Shanghai? Thanks for the help anyway.

ram boy, I don't think you are looking hard enough.
There are excellent guides in the Shanghai thread and the BJ factory thread. I even wrote a small guide about Suzhou.

There are several threads with extensive discussions of the Shanghai scene already in place here is mpnet. Perhaps you'd consider reviewing them? Once you've narrowed your search a little, some of the more experienced China hands can help with specifics.
