CASPER, Wyo. — Governor Mark Gordon’s office announced on Tuesday new modified COVID-19 restrictions set to go into effect May 1.
While Gordon had said last week that the new orders would likely allow barber shops, cosmetologist and gyms to reopen under certain conditions, the new orders will also allow businesses like massage therapists and tattoo shops to reopen.
Gyms are able to reopen May 1 under modified order number 1, but it is modified order number 3 which will allow the following businesses to reopen May 1 in Wyoming:

Such businesses are required to practice the following safety measures listed in the order if they decided to reopen:
Counties have the ability to request exceptions that are either more relaxed or stricter than these regulations. Regulations different from the order require approval from both the county health officer and the state health officer.
No businesses are required to open on May 1 under any of the orders and Gordon’s office says those which choose to remain closed will still be eligible for Small Business Administration loans.
“Public health order Number 2 limiting public gatherings to 10 persons or fewer has been extended through May 15,” Gordon’s office added in Tuesday’s release. “The Governor’s directive requiring any individual coming to Wyoming to self-quarantine for 14 days remains in place through April 30. An extension to the directive is currently under review, with a decision expected tomorrow.”
