New town centre massage parlour is both decadent and luxurious - Reading Chronicle

Having only been running for seven months, Touch of Orient has already collated over 200 positive reviews on various sites.

Upon entering the parlour, it is obvious that a great deal of time and effort has gone into making it appear both relaxing and sophisticated.

The foyer is large and airy, contrasting greatly with the sometimes cramped and overcrowded massage waiting rooms.

Part owner of the massage parlour Fabio Caiazzo said that he and his other business partners pride themselves on creating a luxurious and unique experience for clients.

"Our entrance area is spacious because we want our clients to feel welcomed," he said.

"I had done my market research, and lots of companies lacked the feeling and experience that I feel we achieve here."

Mr Caiazzo went on to say that his therapists want the massages they offer to be personalised to the client, so they take time beforehand to learn exactly what each individual needs.

"We will also suggest to them what we think would be suitable," he said.

"If someone comes in wanting a full body massage, but has told us that they are struggling to walk because of back pain, we will suggest to them what could be more appropriate for their ailment."

The whole place mainly utilises black and gold features, which in turn makes it appear expensive and classy.

The massage rooms themselves are cosy with wide comfortable beds, dimmed lighting, and oriental decor.

I was graciously offered to try one of their treatments whilst visiting the parlour and opted for a back and shoulders hot stone massage with one of their talented therapists Edna.

Having never had a massage before, I was unsure how I would find the experience.

This treatment at Touch of Orient was thoroughly enjoyable, and Edna was incredibly skilled.

Instead of using regular baby oils, the parlour only uses speciality products like grapeseed oil which is very safe for sensitive skin.

"It also leaves your skin feeling soft rather than oily when you have finished. We are trying to keep the standard high here" Mr Caiazzo said.

Edna also used various sprays which smelt amazing and the parlour played soft atmospheric music whilst clients enjoyed their treatment. The whole experience was intoxicating for the senses.

"We want to make our customers feel loved," Mr Caiazzo continued. "They have to come in and think to themselves that we care as a business.

"Our therapists make our clients feel welcomed."
