Tripping to CR the last of February with a family friend that frowns on mongering, so we are staying at the Presidente. Knowing that the Presidente has a dress code for chicas, I will probably have to slip out of the hotel to a MP. Are there any MP's close (within walking distance) to the Presidente?

Whether you walk, or take a taxi - there's many MP's within a 5 minute walk and/or taxi from the Prez. You'll have plenty of options. :wink:

Walk out of the Prez and take left for 2 blocks; then turn right and walk 5 blocks and you will be at HLH .

The dress code at the Pres was not a problem for me in January. Just tell the girl where you are staying and they know if it will be a problem getting in. Sexy is ok, sleezy and looking like a hooker is not.

Like ID said, the map is invaluable. It is alone worth the price of admission.

I have been a member previously and it was a good decision. Problem is, my wife found my downloaded map and there was hell to pay. No more maps and this will be my last trip to CR because of health and age. I asked about the MP locations because on my previous trips to SJ, I stayed at three different hotels and have never been by the Presidente. Thanks to all of you that responded. This is great site.

Another option - (since you probably don't have a lot of time to sneak out...and the MPs will be hit and miss...would be a shame to spend what little time you'll have shopping for chicas...) is to walk one block east and two blocks north to the Del Rey, take a quick pick from the numerous chicas there, walk one block east and 1/2 block south to Hotel Asia where you can get a room for about $10.

An MP might cost 1/2 as much, but will also be twice as far to walk...so if you only have an hour or so, you might elect to pay a little more and snag a chica from the DR, which will be the largest pool to pick from and is the closest to your location.

While I agree that the dress code at the Prez can be a bit restrictive, there are plenty that they will let in. Most chicas at the the HDR/KL carry jackets that they can wear that will satisfy front door security.

I have had a few problems in the past, but I have brought in plenty of hotties in, as well. Not a huge problem if you are aware of what they want.
