Partying after hours ???

Alright then,

Just curious where to go after hours? I understand the SL closes at midnight and then people go to HDR right? Are there any MP's open all night 24 hrs. Where does one go at 5 am to party down?

So to recap- where does one go to party after the SL closes as I am on a totally opposite sleep schedule as most of the world?

as far as i know the DR is the only 24hr place and KL closes between2-3am.

I'm not sure what you mean by HL... but at midnight you can go to HDR (Hotel Del Rey) to continue the party. The other option is to take your party to your room. :shock:

Key Largo closes at 3 AM.

Other options -- El Pueblo, Gaira, Tobogan, the bars and clubs in San Pedro. But most close around 3 or 4.

As for MPs -- I believe Idem and Pirate Club are open late-ish (midnight or 1 AM).

By the way, the SL bar closes at midnight but it winds down earlier than that, especially on weeknights.

There are a lot of late night places but I can't say whether they would suit you or not. Most have been mentioned before, but I will share my opinions and add a few.

Night and Strip Clubs:
Pantera Rosa - discussed many times. Overpriced IMHO but you might be rich.
Bar Monaco - Open till dawn. Talent varies greatly but occasional gems. Pricing varies according to country of origin but you can bargain. Not overly expensive even with the gringo discount. Often rather dead. Close to Best Western downtown (Irazu is it?)
Le Grillion - decent mid range option.
Molino Rojo - Closest thing to an MP, budget. Talent varies greatly. Pricing is very affordable and they are honest. On site rooms are not for the overly fastidious.

Bars open late:
Del Rey - what can I say?
Baja Beach Club - Avenida 1 a block and a half from the DR. Mix of locals and some working girls. Open till past dawn.
La Loncheria: Around the corner from the Pirate Club. Karaoke downstairs, disco upstairs. I have had fun there and even got a semi freebie.
El Pueblo and vicinity: At least one place open till dawn. You'll see DR girls there sometimes. Lots of young locals and lots of fights. Not my cup of tea but may be yours.

There are a few others but those are the ones that are easiest to find.
