use caution at the taxi dropoff at the border. Pigs hang out there who like to search and seize you money( at night mostly ),. Keep your shitz wired tight at that point and move quickly to the crossing point. Extra money can be taped to the toe of your shoe! Avoid using the ATM's in TJ unless you have a deathwish!

Good info by FB as usual, in addition I might say, Sunday afternoon/evenings is bad for crossing back as lot of people returning back to the U.S.

I usually go at night and rarely is there a line when I come back after 12 midnight to about 4 in the morning. Weekends the lines are pretty long after 11PM to about 3 AM as the club party people come back to the states, and the times I came back in the afternoon around the time people get out of work 5 to 8 PM the lines are very long, but still not as long as the lines with the cars.

So I'd say the best time to go to TJ is and beat the traffic, and beat the foot traffic back into the US. Is go to TJ after 7PM weekdays when the commuter traffic dies down, and come back anytime after 10PM to about 4 AM and you should not have to wait more then five minutes, and there is no traffic on the freeway either at that time.

How long can I expect it to take to cross the border by foot? When is the best time to cross by foot, as I don't want to drive my car across. Thanks.
